EEG biofeedback

EEG biofeedback (Neurotherapy) is a new technique that is helpful for many patients with ADHD.  Many patients get as much benefit from it as they do with Adderall or Ritalin.  Follow-up studies done years later have shown a fair amount of patients retain the benefits without the need for medication.

EEG biofeedback has been helpful to many patients with depression as well.  A patient of mine with a very refractory depression had dramatic improvement with this technique.

EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing
